Two midweek fixtures, replacements Byram and Bamford start on Farke’s agenda at Leeds United Daniel Farke faces the media on Friday afternoon for his pre-match press conference. The Leeds United manager will take questions from television, radio, print and online journalists at Thorp Arch ahead of the Bristol City clash on Saturday.
Here is a run-down of some of the main topics on the agenda for the boss to address at the training ground today.
On more than one occasion, Farke has now said Junior Firpo, Wilfried Gnonto and Djed Spence will not be available on this side of the international break. So, there is not much expectation they will be asked about again.
Stuart Dallas may have suffered a recent setback in training, but he remains so far from the first-team picture it’s unlikely Farke will need to be asked anything else on him. However, Jamie Shackleton and Jaidon Anthony are due updates.
The former was ruled out of Wednesday night’s win with a flare-up of his niggling shoulder issue that has dogged him this season, while Farke said Anthony came off with a rolled ankle in midweek.
Luis Sinisterra’s agent has revealed ‘he would like’ to see his client join AC Milan or Roma. Despite only joining Leeds United a year ago, the winger was allowed to join Bournemouth on a season-long loan.
Speaking to Italian outlet Sportitalia, Sinisterra’s agent, Simone Rondanini, hinted that a move to Milan or Roma could be on the cards.
“As far as deals not concretised, I wouldn’t know, because there were many movements, even if you don’t really know for what there were real possibilities,” he said. “Of mine (players), I would have liked to see Sinisterra at Milan or Roma.”
Marc Roca has revealed he enjoyed every minute of being a Leeds United player.
“I didn’t stop enjoying it at any time,” he said. “We had a great dressing room, a great atmosphere and I participated a lot. It was a year of personal growth, of intensity in the Premier League, playing against the best. I learned to love Leeds, they gave me the opportunity and we connected a lot.
Roca also opened up about his “special” relationship with former Leeds chief Victor Orta. The ex-sporting director – now working at Sevilla – also moved on over the summer and Roca has thanked his compatriot for bringing him to Yorkshire.
I haven’t spoken to him in a few days but, when he came, we were chatting,” he added. “I have a very special appreciation for him. He trusted me at a time when it was a bit complicated.
“I hadn’t participated much for two years and he opened the doors for me. I have a very good personal relationship with him, he is a spectacular sports director and he knows that I love and respect him very much.”
