will are ready  to take control

How things can change in a week. After the scare of dropping to the bottom half of the table, Birmingham City with 7 goals in 2 matches now look like a different team to the one that has only managed 2 draws in the previous 5 matches.

The return to a more aggressive attacking system with three players up front seemed to work very well in the matches against Huddersfield and WBA.

What got me excited was hearing the comments from the fans talking about the match on BBCWM as I was driving home after the match.

They all seemed to agree that the Blues got lucky and the better team lost. What a nonsense. It was a competitive match but in my opinion, the Blues absolutely deserved to win. I didn’t watch the footage of the penalty again, but the Blues, rightly or wrongly, promised to score before the goal. When Sanderson added a second, I don’t think anyone on the pitch was surprised and for me it never felt like the Baggies scored again. In the second half, they controlled the ball more than the Blues and had a golden opportunity to score but of course they missed it. The visitors then attacked the defense but never seemed to get past the Blues goal.

In the second half there was another penalty situation when I thought it was the excellent Miyoshi who ran towards Albion’s goal line but was stopped by a clumsy tackle before he could cross the ball.

The referee could only make two decisions after this tackle, which were to award a goal kick or a second penalty, as the Blues player was the last to touch the ball, but instead the referee gave the Blues a corner kick. .

Albion played in favor of the Blues in the second half and whenever the away team’s attackers approached the Blues penalty area, the attacks were easily quelled.

And Gary Gardner’s brilliant free-kick

I also applaud Eustace for making the right substitution. The introduction of Hogan, Juke, Gardner and Burke was far more effective than any of Albion’s five substitutions with virtually no impact on play.

The score, more so than comments from away fans, gives a much better indication of which team deserved to win and complaints about penalties and bad luck that day made I have very little sympathy.

The next match at Middlesborough will be another tough test for the Blues. Looking at the match against Sunderland, they certainly didn’t look like a team struggling in the bottom half of the Championship after a very slow start to the season.

With current form, the Blues are very likely to get results at Riverside, especially when they will likely welcome some injured players back into the squad to strengthen the squad.

If the Blues can continue to frustrate opponents with their excellent defensive lineup, they will win more games than draw or lose on the road.

I have to agree that the Blues looked comfortable and deserved to win, I still want the boss to clear up the rumors about Rooney, I don’t want him at St Andrews and I know more about those who don’t. so, for example, the Manager said, trust the process but it needs support. also
