Liverpool are negotiating with Bournemouth for Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez, valued at £45 million.

Liverpool are actively pursuing two significant transfers as the Premier League’s summer window approaches its temporary closure on June 10, 2025. The window will reopen on June 16 and close again on September 1 at 7 p.m.

Liverpool have made a substantial £113 million bid for Bayer Leverkusen’s attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz, comprising £100 million guaranteed and £13 million in add-ons. However, the offer was rejected as Leverkusen seeks a higher fee. Despite this setback, Liverpool are preparing a final offer, with Wirtz expressing a preference for a move to Anfield over interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

Liverpool are negotiating with Bournemouth for Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez, valued at £45 million. The Reds are aiming to lower that cost. Kerkez, who provided an assist for David Brooks’s winner against Everton, is seen as a potential replacement for the departed Trent Alexander-Arnold. His attacking quality makes him a good stylistic fit for Liverpool’s wing-back system. ([thetimes.co.uk][3], [lite.apex-football.com

The Premier League’s summer transfer window opened on June 1 and will close temporarily on June 10 for six days due to FIFA’s decision to split the transfer period around the expanded Club World Cup. This pause allows participating clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester City, to register players ahead of the tournament. The window will reopen on June 16 and close again on September 1 at 7 p.m., earlier than the traditional 11 p.m. deadline, to support more standard working hours.

Liverpool’s proactive approach in the transfer market reflects their ambition to strengthen the squad ahead of the upcoming season. The pursuit of top-tier talents like Wirtz and Kerkez indicates a strategic focus on enhancing key areas of the team.
