Raptors lose for the season’s highest fourth time in a row in Big Apple.

They were actually far superior to the form they showed when they entered Madison Square Garden in New York, which is widely regarded as the Mecca of basketball. They were still insufficient.

Even in its moments when it performs well, this team is not very good, as should be obvious by this point.

The Raptors will have home court advantage for the next four games, which is good news. The Raptors’ bad news is that they will be heading home with a season-high four straight losses.

For the record, Toronto has lost six of its last seven games, including the 136-130 setback on Monday night. Although this team can bounce back from setbacks, they are not able to play at a high level for prolonged periods of time.

They are unable to defend. Additionally, they produce open looks that result in baskets when they do display instances when stops are being made.

Even when games are decided after the fact, as the Raptors heroically fought back by extending the evening on Monday, the outcome is still defeat.

Though it’s not much comfort, the Raptors were far more entertaining in Gotham.

During the first half, both teams performed a commendable job of defending the basketball, with the Raptors falling behind 66-60.

The visitors were outscored by 12 points from a distance due to the team’s weak point, three-point shooting. The Raptors’ 54.5% shooting percentage against the Knicks exposed yet another area of weakness that has existed all season, which did not help either.
