Following Ange Postecoglou’s update, Tottenham’s lineup against Nottingham Forest may include nine players missing.

When Tottenham plays Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, they might be missing nine players.

After just one victory in 12 league games, Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs will make their second trip to the City Ground on Friday night, marking another crucial game for Reds manager Steve Cooper. With their most recent 1-1 draw at Wolves, Forest stopped the losing streak, and their chances of winning again against Tottenham are enhanced by the lengthy injury list of their rivals.

In recent weeks, Postecoglou has faced severe injury setbacks, most notably to important players like Micky van de Ven and James Maddison. They went five games without a victory as a result, but last Sunday they defeated Newcastle United 4-1.

“You brought up James and Micky, but you left out Bentancur. Perisic was crucial to our late-game victories; he was the one supplying Manor Solomon,” Postecoglou remarked. “I could write forever.

“I know it sounds like an excuse, but that’s the way the Premier League works, and it doesn’t take a lot of analysis to see why we haven’t been as definitive in our results over the last few weeks as we were earlier in the year.”
