Panthers Reacts: Will you be interested in more after 15 weeks of suffering?
I wanted to know how many of you were going to watch the 2024 season in an attempt to gauge that lack of happiness. Though 2023 is gone, will you be returning for more David Tepper hires in the upcoming season? I sincerely hope so, as he is the Carolina Panthers’ owner and is not planning on leaving. Or maybe I just hope that since I’m not leaving, he’s learned something.
It appears that slightly more than 50% of you concur with me, in one way or another. 58% of Panthers supporters predict they will continue to follow this team in the upcoming season. Perhaps some of you are unable to dedicate yourself to leaving after all these years due to something as trivial as consistent poor coaching and drafting. Perhaps a few of you are hoping Tepper got his lesson. I’m not sure.
After experiencing a brief surge to nine percent of fans believing in the team’s future following the dismissal of former head coach Frank Reich, fan confidence in the team is still hovering around the 4-5% mark. I want the Panthers to steal a few games in the closing minutes more than anything else, if only to find out how soft that number is.
Despite their pessimism about things having improved, at least 54% of fans who answered to our survey said they plan to watch next year. This is hilarious to me. That right there is fandom.
It all adds up to the same thing, no matter how many seasons you count the duration of this current losing streak—which is twice as long as any prior such streak in franchise history. The happiness has vanished.
