Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen has hinted that he may quit the club in the near future to pursue larger and better opportunities.

Andersen Desires to Play for a Larger Club Than Palace

Since his transfer from Lyon in 2021, Danish international defender Andersen has been a major hit with Crystal Palace fans. However, he has lately announced his future plans, which may or may not involve Selhurst Park.

Andersen spoke to Ekstra Bladet, a Danish news publication, before of Denmark’s EURO qualifiers against San Marino and Finland.

In the interview, he expressed his intentions, saying, “I want to play in the world’s biggest and best clubs.”

There are no concrete offers for Andersen this summer.

For the majority of the summer, the defender was linked with a move away from Crystal Palace. He was extensively connected with Newcastle United, with rumours claiming that the Magpies were keen to recruit him. Tottenham reportedly entered the competition for the Danish player after his transfer fee was set at £50 million.

Despite these claims, the individual has verified that no concrete bids for his services were made during this transfer window.

“There were a few things back and forth, but nothing concrete,” he stated of transfer offers.
