Divulging former Cowboys starter finds team ahead of possible Dallas match
In the NFL playoffs, the Dallas Cowboys may run across former kicker Brett Maher, who recently joined with the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams might play the Cowboys in the Wild Card round less than a week from now, thanks to this change.
After Maher began the 2022 season as a consistent kicker, his time in Dallas came to an unfortunate conclusion. This offseason, the Cowboys made the sensible decision to take a different approach.
Maher’s final three games with the Cowboys, including two playoff games, saw him miss at least one extra point. When Maher failed to convert four of five extra point attempts against the Buccaneers, the tension reached a breaking point.
Cowboys supporters are grateful that rookie kicker Brandon Aubrey has not missed a field goal this year in light of everything. Aubrey has a perfect 35-for-35 on field goal attempts going into Week 18. This season, Aubrey has attempted 44 out of 47 extra points with three misses.
After joining the Los Angeles team in August, Maher’s problems persisted there. After playing eight games with the Rams and missing six field goals, the veteran was cut loose on October 24. Despite not being chip shots, Maher’s four failed tries were from farther than fifty yards, which is commendable.
