Running back Cut by the Cowboys could sign with a playoff team.

A former running back for the Dallas Cowboys is currently a free agent.

After the Cowboys’ Week 18 match on Monday, January 8, Corey Clement, who played for the Arizona Cardinals in 2021, was cut from the practice squad, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The veteran back is now free to sign with a playoff team as a result of the move.

Pelissero wrote on January 8 on X, “The Cardinals are releasing veteran RB Corey Clement from the practice squad today, per source, giving him a chance to join a playoff team that needs depth.

After signing and being released by the New York Giants before the season began, the 29-year-old back played in all 17 of the Cowboys’ 2021 games. With only 6% of the offensive snaps, he was primarily used on special teams, appearing in 61% of the special teams snaps.
