Deebo Samuel, WR for the San Francisco 49ers, explains how a shoulder injury will impact the game plan.

After battling a shoulder injury this week, wide receiver Deebo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers talked about how hard he’s willing to push himself against the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.

Samuel’s injury kept him out of much of the 49ers’ Divisional Round victory over the Green Bay Packers. The 49ers were uncertain at the beginning of this week whether Samuel would be able to participate in the NFC Championship Game. Samuel didn’t attend practice on Wednesday, but he showed up on Thursday. Samuel was cleared to play against the Lions on Friday by the 49ers, who removed him from the injury report.

Samuel was expected to play, if only in a limited role, against the Lions by many supporters and analysts. Samuel might have been made active by the 49ers to act as a ruse against the Lions’ defense.
