The Jacksonville Jaguars had very few questions going into the offseason this time last year. While Jawaan Taylor, Arden Key, and Evan Engram had contracts that were about to expire, the Jaguars were expected to return almost every starter and important role player. But going into the 2024 offseason, the Jaguars have more questions than answers this time around.
We didn’t have a lot of cap space to work with the previous year. We have spent the first two years in free agency. Will we be acting in a more hostile manner? We think our core group of players is strong,” general manager Trent Baalke stated on Thursday. “But when we strap it up in April and start the offseason program, this team will look different.” The team will appear different. All of the National Football League’s teams will have unique looks, including our team. The extent of the differences will depend on many of the conversations we have over the upcoming few weeks.
Josh Allen and Calvin Ridley are two of the Jaguars’ major pending free agents heading into this offseason, but there are many unanswered concerns about the contracts of Cam Robinson, Brandon Scherff, Rayshawn Jenkins, Darious Williams, and other players.
