In the upcoming months, the Cincinnati Bengals will likely need a new tackle, and upcoming free agent Jermaine Eluemunor seems eager to join the team. Cincinnati’s 2023 campaign will never be forgotten as star quarterback Joe Burrow found it difficult to stay on the field. The former first-overall pick had a difficult start to the season after injuring himself during practice following the signing of his enormous contract extension. Even though he eventually found his footing again, the season was cut short by another injury he sustained halfway through.

Some fans and analysts throughout the league are beginning to forget just how good Burrow is when healthy, in part because of this lackluster campaign. Those people are not Jermaine Eluemunor, as the right tackle recently defended the Bengals franchise quarterback on X (formerly Twitter).

Please don’t take this the wrong way, everyone. I keep seeing burrow slander on my TL for some reason. Even though Mahomes and Burrow are the two best quarterbacks in the NFL, people still despise them. Additionally, he totally changed that franchise, but I suppose that when you’re kindhearted, people tend to forget.

Joe Burrow is obviously highly respected by Jermaine Eluemunor, and the Bengals will likely require an offensive tackle. Jonah Williams is expected to leave Cincinnati in free agency, so the team needs someone who can hold Burrow accountable so he can lead Cincinnati back to a deep postseason run.

Eluemunor might be the best candidate for the position. Over the past few seasons, the former fifth-round pick has established himself as a quality starter after bouncing around early in his career. Jermaine Eluemunor isn’t an All-Pro player, but he can certainly give Burrow enough time to connect with the Bengals offense’s potent weapons.

Naturally, the money must be correct. Cincinnati still has to pay Tee Higgins and set aside a substantial amount of money for Ja’Marr Chase, even though they have $61.4 million in cap space. There’s a chance that another team outbids the Bengals for Jermaine Eluemunor in a league where starting-caliber tackles are in great supply.
