The NBA world got a new installment of its reality television series last week when Marc Stein revealed that LeBron James might actually consider signing with one of two teams if they selected his son Bronny James, and forego his $51 million contract for the upcoming season.
It’s clear that this report contains a lot of unknowns. First things first: which two anonymous teams are they? And after just one season of collegiate basketball, is Bronny planning to leave USC? If he does, where will he be selected in the draft, and will LeBron’s possible addition affect his draft position? The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the teams connected to this report, but the list of inquiries is endless. The rationale is that they have cap space and LeBron appears to have expressed interest in joining Philadelphia in the past.
He declared, “I am a Laker,” during the NBA All-Star weekend. For the past six years, I’ve enjoyed being a Laker, and I hope that continues.” Is there any possibility that LeBron was manipulating these remarks or was acting with some other ulterior motive? If anything, he is incredibly calculated in both his words and actions. Naturally. LeBron, though, is probably going to stay in Los Angeles for the foreseeable future.
