Huge victory for Kentucky over No. 13 Auburn: Four key takeaways and celebrations following the game

This evening, the Kentucky Wildcats travelled to Neville Arena to take on the fierce Auburn Tigers. The game was predicted by many to be back-and-forth, but the Cats took control early on and pulled off the upset, 70-59.

The Jungle was rocking, and the Cats took the game to Bruce Pearl’s team early on in the first half. Not only did the offence start out well, but it also seems like John Calipari has his team committed to getting better defensively. It turned into an Auburn runs game in the second half, but luckily Kentucky had enough answers. Antonio Reeves scored 22 points to lead the team, and his perseverance and composure in the last eight minutes allowed them to withstand a late rally by the Tigers and win by 11 points on the road.

In what way? To help extend the lead to double digits, Kentucky forced six turnovers and limited the Tigers to 28% shooting from the field.
