“Everything We Do With Dak Is Based On Him Being A Cowboy.” Dallas Vice President Stephen Jones Is Aware of Salary Cap Expectations But Wants To Keep Prescott
It appears that the Dallas Cowboys will aim to sign star quarterback Dak Prescott to a long-term contract by starting talks with him in the off-season.
Stephen Jones, the vice president of the Cowboys, acknowledged the team’s interest in Prescott; but, he did not disclose the workaround for the $59 million salary limit albatross.
“The main reason we have Dak is because he’s a Cowboy. When questioned about Prescott’s future in Dallas, Jones responded, “That’s all that’s on our mind.” “[We] definitely don’t think about things like that.”
“We won’t be expounding on those type of things with our negotiations,” he said in response to a question regarding wage cap expectations.
It’s evident that there is a problem, but perhaps we can talk about it and keep moving forward. Apologies
