Italian rumors state that Olivier Giroud, a striker for Milan, has agreed to a contract of eighteen months with LAFC, starting in July 2024.
The seasoned center forward’s decision to not renew his contract with the Rossoneri, which is set to expire on June 30, is well known. He was a great investment when he initially joined San Siro from Chelsea in the summer of 2021 for just under €3 million. In 121 competitive appearances, he scored 46 goals and provided 20 assists for the team.
He will turn 38 in September, though, so the Rossoneri will have to focus on developing younger strikers for the future.
Giroud demonstrated his continued ability on Tuesday night when he scored in France’s 3-2 friendly victory over Chile, solidifying his place as the team’s all-time top scorer. He is excited to finish his career in the United States of America with fresh experience, and he has a slight preference for Los Angeles FC.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, an 18-month contract that starts on July 1st, when he becomes a free agency, has now reportedly been negotiated in principle.
Originally arriving in summer from Chelsea, he went to San Siro.
