Sheffield Wednesday may change formation for the match and have a nearly fully fit team to select from, with winger Mallik Wilks and midfielder Momo Diaby remaining out.

On Saturday, Sheffield Wednesday will play Ipswich Town in the Championship at Hillsborough.

After losing their first four league games, Wednesday earned their first point of the season with a 0-0 draw at Elland Road against Leeds United before the international break.

Leeds had numerous chances to win the game, with Joel Piroe shooting wide and Devis Vasquez saving Georginio Rutter, and Wilfried Gnonto being denied a penalty after being pulled down in the box by Dominic Iorfa.

The Owls had chances, with Josh Windass and Callum Paterson going close, but both teams had to settle for a point.

Wednesday enter the game in 23rd place in the table, despite being promoted from League One with Ipswich.

The Tractor Boys have had a strong start to the season, and they presently sit second in the table, one point behind leaders Preston North End.

Last time out, Kieran McKenna’s team defeated Cardiff City 3-2 at Portman Road, with Nathan Broadhead’s strike and a double from substitute Freddie Ladapo turning the game around after Aaron Ramsey and Joe Ralls had given the Bluebirds a two-goal lead.

The Owls have an almost fully healthy squad to pick from for the game, which might be enhanced by the return of winger Mallik Wilks, who has returned to training, although midfielder Momo Diaby is still out with a foot injury.

After employing a three-man defence for the previous two seasons,

As the clock ticks down to kickoff, we looked at how the Owls would line up against the Tractor Boys.

Vasquez has established himself as Wednesday’s number one goalkeeper since his arrival on loan from AC Milan this summer.

The 25-year-old has been away on international duty with Colombia, but he should retain his place between the sticks.

If Munoz decides to go with a back four, he will have to select who would start at right-back.

Liam Palmer and Pol Valentin are both viable choices, but Paterson has played admirably in this role this season and could get the nod.

Bernard has started the Owls’ previous two league games, and after helping them keep a clean sheet against Leeds, he should keep his spot.

The 22-year-old has been on international duty with Jamaica, but he is expected to make his debut.

Diaby has started every league game for Wednesday since missing the first game against Southampton due to suspension.

The 25-year-old appears to be ahead of Dominic Iorfa and Michael Ihiekwe in the pecking order, and he should play again here.

Munoz has started Famewo at left-back whenever he has used a back four this season.

Despite his background as a centre-half, Famewo has been favoured over Reece James and Marvin Johnson for this position.

Byers has started the last three league games after an injury-plagued start to the season.

Now that he is fully fit, the crucial midfielder has shown indications of returning to his best in recent weeks, and he will be a key player for the Owls this season.

Buckley, who joined Wednesday on loan from Blackburn Rovers on deadline day, might make his debut.

Buckley, like fellow newcomer Jeff Hendrick, will compete for a starting spot, but he will offer skill and creativity to the Owls midfield and is expected to play right away.

So far this season, Captain Bannan has started all five league games for Wednesday.

Bannan has fallen deeper in recent weeks after beginning the season in a more forward role, and his performances have improved.LEEDS UNITED Squad Update With Weston McKennie | LEEDS UNITED FC 2023 | Premier League - YouTube

Delgado has been a regular for the Owls since his summer transfer from Pacos de Ferreira.

The 30-year-old has been on international duty with Chile, but if he returns fully healthy, he will almost certainly start.

In recent weeks, Gregory has been used in a deeper role, with Michael Smith serving as the primary striker.

When Munoz has used a four-man defence, Gregory has been used as the lone striker, and he could return to that role against Ipswich.

Windass has played a variety of different positions for the Owls this season, but he could feature on the left this weekend.
With no goals to his name so far this campaign, Windass will be hoping to get off the mark against the Tractor Boys.
