Tuesday’s scheduled races, the Supertwins and Superstock events, were both postponed because of adverse weather, and will now take place on Wednesday at 11:45 BST and 14:00 BST respectively, both over three laps.

The second sidecar race of the week has been rescheduled from Wednesday to Thursday, with an 11:45 BST start time, with the Supersport race two due off at 14:00 BST.

The Supersport event has been reduced to a race distance of three laps instead of four.

All roads around the circuit will close at 10:00 on both days, with the Mountain Road closing an hour earlier.

A solo warm-up lap will take place on Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30.

The Supertwins race one was called off less than an hour before its start time of 19:40 BST on Tuesday because conditions around the circuit were deemed unsuitable.

After completing a warm-up lap a number of competitors expressed concern about lingering damp patches around the course following rain in the early part of the day.

A statement issued by the organisers explained that the decision had been made “following consultation with competitors following the warm-up lap”.

“Riders have advised that conditions around the TT course are not suitable for racing.

“The Clerk of the Course has confirmed that this evening’s race will not take place,” the statement read.

The opening Superstock race had also been scheduled to run on Tuesday but was dropped from the programme earlier in the day because of the adverse weather.
