Crystal Palace paid just £15m for Dean Henderson, with the goalkeeper expected to return to Nottingham Forest and his eventual move to Selhurst Park.

The 26-year-old helped Forest stay in the Premier League during an effective loan spell last season and it seems Man Utd would be willing to accept a permanent move.

 

 

However, the clubs were unable to agree the terms of a full deal and the Red Devils eventually turned their attention elsewhere, with Matt Turner arriving from Arsenal and Odysseas Vlachodimos from Benfica.

That left Henderson looking for options elsewhere – and it looks like Palace are only getting £15m. However, Sun journalist Alan Nixon claims they could have to spend an extra £5 million as part of the add-ons package.Nixon claims the Forest deal collapsed after the Red Devils ‘haggled’ over the loan in an attempt to buy. Henderson is yet to feature for Palace, with Sam Johnstone the Eagles number one
