Another good week for the Town. I was walking up a hill in Spain as we hosted Wolves in the League Cup, on one of those exciting train journeys when the sudden decision to get on was made.

As we started climbing, I couldn’t help but take a quick glance at my phone to see how the first 15 minutes had gone by. 2-0 down and I feared the worst.

The next time I check the score it will be almost time. Now I’m walking along the front of Santa Susanna, enjoying the warm night air. Local bars were showing the Barcelona match in Mallorca. It inspired me to stop and looke

But reluctantly checking Town again, I saw we had turned the tables with a 3-2 victory.

My shout of agreement and my punch drew the attention of some local Catalans towards me. I was buzzing.

What a result. I don’t care how many changes the Wolves have made. I think about the achievements we have achieved and how we once again demonstrated the familiar fighting spirit of a team that never gives up. A Premier League team has been beaten.

At Huddersfield and on Saturday morning I felt there was a point as well. Our away winning streak had to end at some point.

It’s crazy to get five wins at once in all competitions to start a season. But that’s not my main concern. I have, along with many others, counted on a new manager’s recovery which Huddersfield could benefit from. And Darren Moore is a shrewd manager at this level.

although I probably shouldn’t think too much about Sam Morsy’s disappearance, I can’t help but wonder if it affects us.And

It’s not that I don’t trust anyone to take his place. Simply put, Morsy is our driving force and our ultimate warrior in the middle of the park. Nathan Broadhead’s absence is also a huge blow.

As for what happened in the match, Vaclav Hladky made some excellent saves and won the man of the match award. Christian Walton will have his work cut out to find his place in the short term. Huddersfield, to their credit, kept us out for a long time, and as for a penalty decision that didn’t go our way, I think the less said about it the better. Too much hope for better refereeing at the end of League One!

In my opinion, Huddersfield deserves the lead. From there, finding your way back was a job. But as the game went on you could sense that, once again, we were going to dig deep to find a way back and it showed.

In all respects, it was a day to pick up a point, come out unbeaten and go home with a vital point in the bag.

In the last six months, there were very few games we didn’t win. Looking back at the points won at Bristol Rovers and Cheltenham Town, they proved crucial to our promotion. Hopefully we can consider this point as equally important.

Two home games this week and once again, I think we could experience some thrills. First is Hull City. The home game against the Tigers brought back a terrible memory. Let me take you back a little more than five and a half years.

I took a colleague to work with me one evening. One Town fan is not supporting Town in this case. We lost 0-3 with the third goal in the 47th minute.

He declared it the worst performance he had ever seen from a local football team. He’s not wrong.

Since then I lost contact with him. I would have loved to have had him by my side on this occasion to show him how far we have come since that time.

Now he won’t recognize us.
