The £54 million player is unlikely to play for Tottenham in the future; the board decided this.

It seems like Tanguy Ndombele has spent the better part of five years in Tottenham’s last chance saloon.

The Frenchman has struggled under multiple managers at Spurs, and it appears that his time in north London is finally coming to an end. He is valued at £54 million.

Paul Brown has provided a comprehensive update on Ndombele’s circumstances, and it appears that the last nail in his Tottenham coffin has now been driven, according to his interview with GiveMeSport.

It’s highly doubtful that Ndombele will ever play for the team again since, according to Brown, a decision has been made at the boardroom level giving him the freedom to go anytime he pleases.

“I think Spurs are only too happy to wash their hands of Tanguy Ndombele, actually, as he’s had so many opportunities under so many managers and has never been able to produce what he’s capable of. Never say never, and Ange Postecoglou is not the type of manager who loves to block players out. To be honest, I believe the board has decided that he is free to depart and that they will take whatever they can get for him. Therefore, I don’t think he’ll ever play for Tottenham again,” Brown stated.

Even after all this time, it’s really sad to hear this.

Ndombele remains one of the most expensive players in Tottenham’s history, and he’s one of the most talented.

Sadly, the old adage rings true, hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard, and the reality is that Ndombele hasn’t applied himself in the way he should have since arriving in north London.

Ndombele’s story is a cautionary tale for any player who has the talent but isn’t willing to work hard enough to really stamp their name at the top level.
