Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, has no ill will toward Shaq Leonard for joining the Philadelphia Eagles.

The news that former Indianapolis Colts star linebacker Shaq Leonard would be signing with the Philadelphia Eagles, their NFC East rivals, was recently announced, and it was not good news for the Dallas Cowboys. Given that the Cowboys are a possible Super Bowl contender, many people thought that Leonard would fit in perfectly with them. However, Leonard ultimately decided to sign with the Eagles, another NFC powerhouse.

Even though Leonard and Jerry Jones had just met to talk about a possible signing, Jones recently discussed his thoughts on Leonard’s choice.

When the Cowboys play the Eagles on Sunday, Jones stated, “Well, of course, we very easily could see him out here against us” on Shan & RJ (via Logan Mullen of Audacy). “When I think about it, I have to take a step back. These are the times when a player like that can be available, choose his team, which he can and does, and be playing in three or four days. It’s just a special moment in time.
