Quarterbacks Dak Prescott of the Cowboys and Jalen Hurts of the Eagles have a primetime opportunity on Sunday to possibly move ahead in the competition for NFL Most Valuable Player awards. Week 9 saw Prescott throw for 374 yards and three touchdowns, while Hurts ran for a score and completed passes of 207 yards and two touchdowns. On their last drive, the Cowboys had a first-and-goal at the Philadelphia 6-yard line, but they were unable to score. While outgaining the Eagles 406-292, the Cowboys only scored touchdowns on three of their five trips to the red zone, while Philadelphia scored three touchdowns on three drives inside the 20-yard line.

Since that Philadelphia defeat, Dallas has won all four of its games while averaging 42 points. The primary objective is weekly victory.” In his seventh 100-yard performance of the year, wide receiver A.J. Brown of Philadelphia hauled in eight passes for 114 yards against the 49ers. “You need to put on your big boy jeans. Not every situation will turn out the way you want it to,” Brown said. “We have to focus on Dallas, clean up the mistakes and continue to grow.
Dallas’ coach Mike McCarthy stated, “I really do like the stretch we’re getting ready to be on.” Buffalo, Miami, Detroit, and Washington are the team’s final four opponents this season. “When you look at the teams that we’re getting ready to line up against, and obviously Philadelphia is all that matters right now, this is an excellent opportunity for us to play in playoff-type games without playoff consequences.” In Week 9, Philadelphia defeated Dallas 28–23 at home in their first meeting.
