Shaq of the Eagles Why Leonard chose the Philadelphia Eagles over the Dallas Cowboys
This weekend in Dallas, one of the most important NFL games of the season will take place. This game, which the Philadelphia Eagles are playing on the road against the Dallas Cowboys, will have a significant impact on the NFC playoff race. With a 10-2 record, the Eagles hold the top seed in the NFC; the Cowboys are one game behind them at 9-3. Dallas is one game back in the NFC East since these two teams are also members of that conference. Shaq Leonard, who selected the Eagles over the Cowboys, will also be playing in his first game with the team this season.
According to a Yahoo Sports article, Leonard stated, “I don’t think it was just Dallas-Philly.” “It was especially when Nick (Sirianni) and I were in Indianapolis together. Nick was an excellent competitor and coach. We bonded during our time in Indianapolis. We just kind of went with that, then. It was more like you already knew what kind of environment I would be in. It simply matched both my mentality and his dog mentality. When they run sideline to sideline, this defense kind of follows my plan, and I could kind of bring that by taking away the ball.
Nick Sirianni and Leonard had a good relationship, and now that Leonard is playing for the Eagles with him,
Shaq Leonard was deciding between the Eagles and Cowboys for his next team after being cut loose by the Indianapolis Colts, and this week couldn’t have been more appropriate to make that decision. He selected Philadelphia, and Dallas will host his debut game.
