Florida transfer Miguel Mitchell impressed by Arkansas visit

Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks are still looking to trade for safeties, and Miguel Mitchell, a former Florida Gator, visited the Hogs this week for two days. Mitchell, 6-1, 215, visited the Memphis Tigers prior to reaching Fayetteville and still plans to check out other schools this weekend, but Arkansas made a strong impression on the defensive back.

Arkansas has landed a commitment from South Alabama transfer cornerback Marquise Robinson following his official visit in Fayetteville (Ark.). Robinson, 6-2, 195, was one of eight official visitors who made their way to campus during the first three days of a five-day visit window for midyear transfers. He is the Razorbacks’ tenth transfer commitment of the 2023-24 cycle.

Robinson will have one more year of eligibility with the Hogs after reporting to The Hill in January. He chose the Razorbacks over transfer offers from Oklahoma State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Liberty, Houston and others.

“You know you just get that home feeling and see the energy you can burn,” Robinson said of his decision. “I just see the energy that I can burn through the team. I know myself. Woo Pig!”
