During NFL Wild Card Weekend, Former Georgia Bulldogs Turned Up!

With a Super Wild Card weekend, which ran from Saturday into Monday, it was one of the more thrilling NFL football weekends ever. Some of the most thrilling teams from this season emerged victorious in the first round of the 2023 NFL Playoffs, while other teams were forced to return home.

Both the winning and losing teams this weekend featured a large number of former Dawgs, and these players performed admirably in their games. In a chilly Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday night, Georgia gave a few subdued performances. After losing 26-7 and picking up a tackle, Justin Houston and the Miami Dolphins saw their season come to an end. Mecole Hardman Jr. contributed a three-yard reception to the Kansas City Chiefs’ winning drive, and Malik Herring collected his own tackle.

One of the more exciting football days of the weekend was Sunday night. Beginning in the Lone Star State, the defense of the Green Bay Packers, led by Quay Walker, was a major factor in the Dallas Cowboys’ season ending embarrassingly. Quay Walker led the team in tackles (11) and was a major factor in the Packers’ 48-32 victory. Devonte Wyatt, his current teammate from college, had his tackle. They are scheduled to play the San Francisco 49ers, the top-seeded team in the NFC.
