Supporters of the Jaguars endorse Ryan Nielsen’s hiring
We polled Jacksonville Jaguars supporters this week to find out how they felt about Ryan Nielsen’s hiring.
Trent Baalke said during his end-of-season media availability that his interview with Nielsen was impressive.
Yes, there will be a change conceptually. It won’t always have an impact on the kind of employees we seek. What’s interesting is how well-prepared Ryan was for the interview—he knew our roster inside and out and discussed how he saw each player being used in his defense.
That was quite remarkable, particularly for a man whose family was vacationing at Disneyland when we pulled him up here. Simply put, everything about him—his demeanor, his command of the space, his rapport with the group there, his attention to detail, the reciprocal relationships he has built, and the fact that everyone you speak with has nothing but good things to say about him—was impressive. Everything you heard comes to life when you bring him in. I’m thrilled to have him on board and am looking forward to working with him.
