A rival AFC South team is appointing a former Jacksonville Jaguars coach as their offensive coordinator for the second year in a row.

The Jaguars will now lose passing game coordinator Nick Holz to the Tennessee Titans, where he will reunite with Brian Callahan, one year after Jim Bob Cooter was poached by the Colts.

Under Brian Callahan, the #Titans are appointing Nick Holz, the pass-game coordinator for the #Jaguars, as their new offensive coordinator, according to sources.

Working closely with offensive coordinator Press Taylor, Holz oversaw the passing game for the Jaguars in 2023. Holz joined the Jaguars for the first time that season, taking over for Jim Bob Cooter as the passing game coordinator.

The Jaguars’ passing offense was expected to perform well in 2023, but it fell short of most expectations. Under Taylor, Cooter, and head coach Doug Pederson, quarterback Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars had a lower net yards per pass attempt, threw fewer touchdowns, threw more interceptions, and took more sacks.
