Cowboys help Joe Whitt go to Commanders after Dan Quinn

It was previously reported that Kliff Kingsbury is leaving to take a position as offensive coordinator in Washington, so Quinn is filling up the important positions on his staff.

Joe Whitt was considered an internal candidate to become the Cowboys’ defensive coordinator. He oversaw the passing game defense, and during his tenure, players like Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland performed well, which enhanced his resume. Now that he’s gone, there’s a chance that an outside hire, like Ron Rivera or Mike Zimmer, who were reportedly interviewed this week, will get the job.

The Dallas Cowboys lost another coach to the Washington Commanders late on Sunday, as new head coach Dan Quinn filled a key position on his new team by hiring someone from his former staff.

Whitt deserves this promotion because he has had a lengthy and fruitful career. But now that he and Quinn are together, our division rival is extremely familiar with the Dallas offense, having worked with head coach Mike McCarthy in addition to facing Prescott in practice. It’s possible that we won’t be able to predict that the Commanders will be easily defeated by the Cowboys.
