According to reports, Burnley, Leicester City, and Crystal Palace are all interested in signing Colchester United star Bradley Ihionvien.
According to Football Insider, a number of Premier League and Championship clubs, including Burnley, Crystal Palace, Leicester, Watford, and Norwich, are interested in Colchester United striker Bradley Ihionvien.
Ihionvein, 19, has caught the attention of clubs further up the football pyramid after impressing for Colchester in League Two this season.
The muscular striker, who made his debut in the final game of the 2021-22 season, has scored twice in his past three outings, including a goal against Tranmere Rovers last weekend (9 September).
Ihionvein has made six League Two appearances this season, and his form has attracted the attention of scouts.
Colchester have big hopes for the teenager and are anticipating interest in the gifted attacker.
The left-footed forward’s contract with Essex expires at the end of the season.
He gained more senior experience after spending the first half of the 2022-23 season on loan at non-league Maldon and Tiptree.
Ihionvein scored three goals in 18 games for the eighth-tier club.
Colchester has produced some recognised EFL talents, including Sammie Szmodics of Blackburn and Junior Tchmadeu of Stoke.
Burnley and Crystal Palace, both Premier League clubs with a history of nurturing top talent, are interested in the 19-year-old.
Leicester, Watford, and Norwich are also interested, but Ihionvein believes their second-tier status makes them a less appealing possibility.
