A former New York Yankee player is being taken on by the Boston Red Sox.
Despite all of its offseason maneuvers, Boston still lacks a home run swing. The Red Sox have added a few interesting players this offseason, and if they could sign a player like Jordan Montgomery, the team’s reputation might entirely shift.
This offseason, the Red Sox have also made a few depth additions. Lucas Luetge, a former pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, and Atlanta Braves, was signed by Boston on Saturday, continuing their efforts to bolster the team. This information was obtained from the pitcher’s social media accounts.
Luetge stated, “Year 17 and returning to the Northeast.” “Excited to join the Red Sox organization!”
The Milwaukee Brewers selected Luetge in the twenty-first round of the 2008 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft. Although he made his major league debut with the Mariners in 2012, he has played most of his professional career in the minor leagues.
From 2012 to 2015, the seasoned left-hander played his first four years in the major leagues for the Mariners. Before the 2016 season, he left Seattle as a free agent. He didn’t play in the major leagues until 2021, but he had two successful seasons in a row with the Yankees.
