For many years, the scarcity of good quarterbacks on the market was a recurring theme amongst free agency classes. That has altered in the last few years.

Every offseason, there is a quarterback carousel that begins after the coaching carousel is over. There will be no shortage of quarterbacks with starting experience available as free agents this year.

Here’s a list of names to keep in mind from the Spotrac.com list: Kirk Cousins, Baker Mayfield, Ryan Tannehill, Gardner Minshew, Tyrod Taylor, Sam Darnold, Jacoby Brissett, Drew Lock, Joe Flacco, Tyler Huntley, Carson Wentz, Josh Dobbs, Mason Rudolph, and Eason Stick. The orders are not important.

The 2017 second-round selection, Mitchell Trubisky, is already accessible.

Undoubtedly, Jimmy Garoppolo, Russell Wilson, and Zach Wilson will be released. Justin Fields and Mac Jones may be available in a trade. Taylor Heinicke or Desmond Ridder, or both, may be let go by the Falcons.

Nick Foles, a former MVP of the Super Bowl, was and is also available. As is Tom Brady, even though he’s probably finished now.

There is still a ton of quarterback talent that will soon flood the market, even though the majority of these players will be free agents for a reason. It will lead to an interesting game of musical chairs at the Scouting Combine, which will formally start at noon on Monday, March 11 but will informally start next week.
