Despite having some flashes in his rookie season, Aidan O’Connell, a fourth-round pick out of Purdue, is not a franchise quarterback. He completed 62.1 percent of his passes for 12 touchdowns, seven interceptions, and a 40.5 QBR that was below average in 11 games.
In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Raiders are slated to select 13th overall. Moving up would be wise because the best quarterback prospects could be gone quickly. The Patriots are “open” to trading the third overall pick, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano. New England should give Las Vegas a call and try to work out a deal.
The Raiders should target 2023 Heisman winner Jayden Daniels if they decide to trade up. Before the quarterback moved to LSU, Pierce considered Daniels to be “a big fan” when they
