Sky Sports analyst discusses whether Daniel Farke’s position at Leeds United is in jeopardy.

We’re thrilled to welcome former England custodian Paul Robinson as our exclusive contributor, as he’ll be providing his thoughts on the most pressing issues at Leeds United each week

Leeds United’s “indifferent” start is understandable, but Paul Robinson believes the club “needs to win” against Millwall following the international break.

While 15th position may not have met expectations, the Elland Road faithful have remained patient with Daniel Farke, who moved to Yorkshire under difficult circumstances.

With relegation, a massive team overhaul, and a change in ownership, there was enough to do off the pitch before seeing progress on it.

However, Robinson has stated that their next Championship match, at Millwall on Sunday (17 September), must be won in order for them to climb the table and avoid doubts about the German. To improve their fortunes, the Whites must capitalise on the momentum generated by their comfortable victory over Ipswich.

When asked what Leeds will need to do to beat Millwall, Robinson told MOT Leeds News exclusively: “Well, a winning performance like they did at Portman Road against Ipswich, where they went away and scored four goals.” Piroe looked good to me; he appears to be capable of scoring 20 to 25 goals this season.

“Who knows if they played to their strengths and attacking third like they did at Ipswich?”

“If they played to their strengths and the attacking third like they did at Ipswich, who, let’s not forget, started the season well and were in great form.”

But it’s always difficult – a game at 12 p.m. on a Sunday after the international break isn’t ideal, but it’s a game that Leeds must win.

“Farke’s job is not yet in jeopardy.” Yes, they’ve had a shaky start to the season, but there are reasons for that: injuries, his coming in late, and so on.

“There will be questions asked if they are still in 15th place after the next international break.” Unfortunately, that is the nature of the beast.”

In other Leeds United news, a player might be out for weeks due to injury if the worst-case scenario occurs.
