Daniel Farke is expected to make three changes to his Leeds United starting XI for the trip to Millwall following the international break, but will be unable to make any more.

with players returning from injuries and new arrivals seeing action during the international break, the German is expected to make two defenders and one midfielder changes from the team that drew 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday on September 2.

Archie Grey, a teen fan favourite, has started every game so far in his senior career, but that was always going to be unsustainable for the 17-year-old, who Farke said had a slight injury as he was kept out of England under-19s duty in his prematch press conference on Friday (25 September).

He could be replaced in midfield by Glen Kamara, a late-season acquisition from Rangers who gained fitness while away with his country and is now due to make his official Leeds United debut.

Farke also revealed that Liam Cooper and Sam Byram have returned to full training after injury lay-offs and are expected to replace Pascal Struijk and surprise early-season star Jamie Shackleton, who has already covered multiple positions and could be in line for a new contract.

Djed Spence was expected to make his first start since joining from Tottenham in place of Luke Ayling, but the manager said that a ligament injury picked up in training this week has sidelined him.

With Patrick Bamford still out, the attack largely picks itself, with big-money summer addition Joel Piroe and club-record January arrival Georginio Rutter both expected to start up front.

After an unremarkable afternoon in a reserved role against the Owls, Piroe is expected to step forward and operate as the striker up top he was bought to be, with Rutter playing just off him.

Willy Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville were the best players in the 0-0 tie last time out and should be kept on the wings.

To maintain some continuity, Ethan Ampadu is expected to stay in the heart of midfield and keep Ilia Gruev out of the starting lineup for the time being.Archie Gray - Submissions - Cut Out Player Faces Megapack

Joe Rodon is anticipated to complete out the back four in front of regular starter from  Byram coming in on the left, Cooper in the centre, and Ayling holding his spot on the right due to Spence’s injury.

Shackleton and Charlie Cresswell, who spent last season on loan at Millwall, will be hoping for minutes off the bench, while deadline day signing Jaidon Anthony might make his debut as a substitute.

In other Leeds United news, a player has been ordered to “grow up” after making derogatory remarks against a former teammate.
