Mikel Arteta spoke to the media ahead of Arsenal’s Carabao Cup third round match against Brentford and delivered some rather worrying news regarding Bukayo Saka.

Bukayo Saka is a doubt for Arsenal’s Premier League game against Bournemouth this weekend, Mikel Arteta has confirmed. This is a fresh concern for the Gunners who are already without a host of first-team players.

The winger, who scored in the 2-2 North London Derby draw against Tottenham Hotspur last time out, was seen limping towards the end of the game and ultimately was replaced by Emile Smith Rowe. As reported by football.london, the England international was in severe pain after taking a knock on his foot.

However, despite an understanding that the knock wasn’t thought to be anything serious, Arteta, when speaking ahead of Arsenal’s Carabao Cup third-round tie against Brentford has revealed that the 22-year-old hasn’t been able to train since and admits he’s not certain to be available for selection against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
