William Carrier, Michael Amadio, and Adin Hill injury updates are provided by the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Vegas Golden Knights provided updates on the injury statuses of wingers William Carrier & Michael Amadio and goaltender Adin Hill ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Colorado Avalanche.

The 29-year-old Carrier will be sidelined for a week while he recovers from surgery for an upper-body injury, the Golden Knights announced on Wednesday. The procedure was successful. Since the 4-1 loss to the Florida Panthers on January 4th, he has not been in the starting lineup.

Carrier’s 2023–24 season has been disappointing; in addition to missing numerous games because of other injuries, he has only managed 5 goals and 2 assists for a total of 7 points in 33 games. With 82 games remaining in the season, he is projected to score 17 points, which would be his lowest point total in a season without a postponement since 2018–19.

The 27-year-old Amadio will miss Wednesday’s game due to illness, the Golden Knights also announced. It’s unclear how long the injury will keep him out, but it probably won’t last past this coming game against the Avs. This season, the native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, has missed just one game.

Amadio had a stellar 2023–24 season, tallying 6 goals and 11 assists for a total of 17 points in 39 games. With 35 points in 82 games, he is easily on pace to surpass the second-best season of his career, which he is already one point away from tying.Vegas Golden Knights' Shea Theodore to miss Saturday's game with upper-body injury - Daily Faceoff

The Golden Knights also declared that Hill, 27, will not be playing for the team on Wednesday despite their expectation that he would. Due to a lower-body injury, he has only participated in one game since November 30. He started on December 17 but then experienced another setback. The Golden Knights have gone 8-7-1 in 16 games since the Comox, B.C. native has last been a regular in the lineup.

From Vegas’ Stanley Cup run in the 2023 playoffs, Hill has carried over and is enjoying a fantastic season. In 15 games, he has a 10-2-2 record, a.933% save percentage, two shutouts, and 12.92 5v5 goals saved above expectations.
