At Indiana’s Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Parsons was the star player for Team Shannon, the celebrity game coach of Shannon Sharpe. The Cowboys star, who helped Team Shannon defeat Team Stephen A 100-91, was named the game’s MVP.
Parsons let his play speak for itself during the postgame interview with ESPN’s Cassidy Hubbarth, but he couldn’t resist criticizing Smith.
According to Parsons, “Stephen A. had the best lineup on paper.” “He was a basketball creator of every kind.” We heard everything, really. However, all of my teammates played with heart, and in the end, you can’t outplay heart.
Smith’s team included talented hoopers like basketball content creator Tristan Jass and Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud. Jass finished with 10 rebounds and 27 points, while Stroud led the team with 31 points and 9 rebounds. However, none of the performances were good enough to defeat Team Shannon and Parsons for the MVP and championship, respectively.
