Jack Eichel of the Vegas Golden Knights suffers a setback injury.
Jack Eichel, the center for the Vegas Golden Knights, will be out for an extended period of time after getting hurt during Thursday night’s 2-1 victory over the Boston Bruins. The nature of Eichel’s injury was not disclosed by the team.
“The latest update I got today is he’ll miss a little bit of time,” Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy explained after a morning skate at the team’s practice facility. “However, I’m not sure how much time.” After the Bruins game, the Golden Knights coach revealed that Eichel had an examination and was feeling a little sore on Friday morning.
Cassidy clarified that in order to provide a more accurate diagnosis, Eichel is scheduled to go through a number of medical tests. William Karlsson, another center, is out for the Golden Knights until next week. To temporarily replace the injured stars, the Golden Knights called up Byron Froese from their American Hockey League affiliate.
